第 一 條
本校為遵照教育部均衡發展人文、科技教育之指示,充實學生之人文素養,提昇藝術欣賞水準,進而養成完美人格,依據本校組織規程第五條及第二十七條之規定,設立國立中興大學藝術中心(以下簡稱本中心),並訂定本辦法。
第 二 條
本中心置主任一人,職員若干人,主任由校長就本校專任教授中聘兼,職員由學校總員額內調配運用。為本中心之業務推展,本中心得聘請校內外知名藝術家及熱心藝術活動人士擔任評審委員及顧問,經由藝術中心主任推薦,報請校長同意後聘請之。評審委員及顧問均為無給職。
第 三 條
本中心所需之業務經費由本校相關單位經費項下勻之。
第 四 條
本中心兼具典藏藝術作品,典藏品經評審委員審查通過,由校長致贈典藏狀。典藏品需慎重保管,負責保管人調動時,應列冊移交。典藏品遇有特殊原因喪失典藏價值時,應經評審委員會議通過後,報請校長核准報廢或轉讓。
第 五 條
本中心除舉辦展示活動外,並視實際需要舉辦演講、表演、研習、觀摩等活動。
第 六 條
本辦法經校務會議通過,並報請教育部核定後實施,修正時亦同。
Working Guidelines for Committee of the Art Center, NCHU
Article 1
To enhance the level of artistic creation and appreciation, The Art Center of National Chung Hsing University (hereinafter referred to as the Center) may, in accordance with Article 2 of the Regulations Governing the Establishment of The Art Center of National Chung Hsing University, appoint renowned artists and individuals with a passion for the arts to serve as jury members and advisors. Jury members and advisors will be appointed upon recommendation by the Chief Director of The Art Center and approval of the President. These positions are gratuitous in nature.
Article 2
The Chief Director of the Center is an ex officio member, and several other members are appointed by the Center. These members are senior or outstanding experts and scholars in the fields of art creation, art history, art theory, art appraisal, art education, art psychology, and art technology. The term of office is two years, and all members may be reappointed. The appointees shall possess one of the following qualifications:
- Served as a reviewer or jury member for provincial or municipal art exhibitions.
- Served as a jury member for the National Art Exhibition, R.O.C.
- Served as a jury member for the National Culture and Arts Foundation Committee.
- Served as a jury member and a domestic selection committee member for a major international art exhibition.
- Served as a professor or associate professor in the art and related department of colleges and universities approved by the Ministry of Education.
- An expert or scholar who has conducted in-depth research on art history, art theory, art appraisal, art education, art psychology, art promotion, and art technology.
The Center will review the exhibits by compiling the creator information and holding a committee meeting to review them.
Article 4
The review committee meeting shall be held at least once per academic year, and the meeting chair shall be concurrently held by the Chief Director of the Center.
Article 5
A review committee meeting requires the attendance of more than half of the notified members, and a roll-call vote shall be taken, with a two-thirds majority (inclusive) or more of the votes required for a resolution to be passed.
Article 6
Those who possess one of the following qualifications may be recommended by a jury member for a review at the committee meeting. Upon approval, the Center shall extend an invitation for exhibition:
- A provincial (municipal) art exhibition review committee member or jury member.
- A jury member of the National Art Exhibition, R.O.C.
- A jury member of the National Culture and Arts Foundation.
- A jury member or a domestic selection committee member for major internationally art exhibitions.
- A professor and associate professor in the art or related department of colleges and universities that is approved upon review, and engages in art creation.
- A professor and associate professor in art-related department of foreign colleges and universities recognized by the Ministry of Education, and engages in art creation.
- An outstanding artist and art group recommended by three committee members. The scope of works to be reviewed in the above categories is limited to works in the artist’s area of expertise. If the artist is in a joint exhibition, the artworks of other artists in the exhibition must also be submitted for review.
Members of this committee shall be provided with appropriate travel expenses in accordance with regulations when attending meetings or related activities.
Article 8
Affairs of the committee meetings shall be handled by the Center.
Article 9
These Directives were approved by the Review Committee of the Art Center of National Chung Hsing University and implemented after being approved by the President. The same applies when making revisions hereto.
