The Art exhibition of "Symbols of Inner Rhymes: Lee Yung-han at 84"  is staged at the Art Center of NCHU from 5th Oct. to 4th Nov.. Through art, we can have a glimpse of the artists' mental picture and witness the spirit of the era they belong to.

Lee Yung-han used to win the gold medal award of the painting department, French Artist Salon, in 1974, and the silver medal award of the sculpture department, Spring Salon, in 1984. He was also selected as the jury member of a three-year term of French Artist Salon for three times. He was the only Asian among the more than thirty international jury embers. In 2007, his oil painting “Hometown” won the honor of the International Duke Award of French Artist Salon in 2007. He also contributed a lot to the exchange between the art circles in Taiwan and in France.

Prof. Lee adopts the bold and vivid colors and combines the techniques of oil painting, watercolor painting, and sculpture. The works mainly deal with young ladies, mother-daughter connections, and beautiful scenery in daily life, expressing both the beautiful and peaceful side of humanity and Prof. Lee's original creative attempt to bring the world more brightness and joy. The exhibits include the family love series, which depicts the boundless glory of maternal love and he gentle, warm, happy, and joyful love symbolizing eternity, young lady series, which shows the beauty of figures, simplicity, elegance, abundance, and rhythm of curves, and the scenery series, which repeatedly integrates and combines the love for hometown in imagination and memory with the natural realistic and semi-abstract styles.

This exhibition offers great resource of educational materials for school and community activities. We are looking forward to seeing you at the art center and enjoy the indicative and functional aesthetic space.
