Landscape from Within: Lin Ching-Jing Ink Wash Painting Exhibition

This exhibition is staged at the Art Center of NCHU from 4th June to 3rd July. Lin Ching-jing is an outstanding ink painter, who demonstrates rich elegance and creativity. The creative world captured by his ink wash paintings is the very manifestation of his artistic life, whereas his works are the fruits of his emotions and thoughts, reflecting the physical world he sees in life and the mindscape constructed by his emotions. Painting is the projection of Lin's spirit and feelings of art, woven by humanism, nature, and spirit, which is his spiritual destination where he becomes one with heaven and earth and conveys his inner thoughts and feelings. Combining the forms of physical objects and shapes of emotions, Lin fuses sceneries and conveys emotions through objects, flexibly controlling the paintbrush to give rise of self, and presenting a poetic and magical world of art.

"Landscape from Within: Lin Ching-Jing Ink Wash Painting Exhibition" features the Meaning of Fate, Floating Light, and Roaming City series that present architecture, such as "River," "Forest of Buildings,""Lingering Warmth in Alley," "Disappearance," "Sun Shines into the Crowd," and "Lake in Eaves," birds and animals, including trout, blue magpie, chicken, and duck, and natural sceneries such as "Blue Tears." The mindscape Lin expresses projects his mind onto natural sceneries, and creates artistic expressions through his ideals and emotions. He creates an artistic world that is built on his observation and memory, and his depictions are natural and vivid. He creates through his mind, and expresses the mind through his hands, that is why his ingenious and reflective works resonate and connect with viewers.

This exhibition offers great resource of educational materials for school and community activities. We are looking forward to seeing you at the art center and enjoy the indicative and functional aesthetic space.
