The Art Center of NCHU was established in 1988, which is the first art center in a university approved by the Ministry of Education in Taiwan. Our mission is to immerse everyone in a great atmosphere of art through exhibitions, performances, various workshops and diverse collections that provide opportunities to nurture our students with international visions of art and their interests through social engagements in the art center. This offers everyone a quick access to appreciate numerous valuable art works and also provides a great resource of educational materials for school learning and community activities.

At the same time, we have consummate collection room and equipment that many artists trust and willing to donate their great works to NCHU. After 32 years efforts and review by our adjudicators, now we have over 1,500 collections. Our collection contains a diverse, rich assortment of works which is certainly one of the major features of the school art center.

To extend the Influence of art collections, we have staged a sole exhibition of Hsieh Shao-Hsuan’s ink paintings and calligraphy from 7th Feb. to 6th Mar., 2022. Mr. Hsieh is specialized in Chinese ink paintings presenting the spirit of Lingnan School. The creative elements of his art works are from nature including landscape, flowers, trees, animals and so on.

This exhibition offers numerous valuable art works and a great resource of educational materials for school and community activities. We are looking forward to seeing you come to enjoy the art center. Hope to build up an indicative and functionality aesthetics space.
