The 100th anniversary of NCHU is coming! For celebrating the school day, the Art Center invited Mr. Lee Ku-Mo who has high popularity in the field of art to have a special exhibition in NCHU. The exhibition of calligraphy and ink paintings by Mr. Lee Ku-Mo will be held from 31st Oct. to 30th Nov.. More than 80 artworks are going to be on display in our school and half of them are latest works that made for this special exhibition. The series of You Reap What You Sow and Every Day is a Good Day , are full of imagination and amusement. The image of different kinds of chickens represents a happy family and is employed to celebrate our university’s anniversary. The other inspiration works really motivate our students and teachers and give us imagination and motivation to be “Flourishing in the centennial”. We really appreciate his encouragement beyond words.
There are numerous types of art, Lee Ku-Mo has been fascinated by Chinese Ink Painting and Calligraphy for more than 60 years and gained a high reputation in the field of art. Mr. Lee has been specialized in drawing local landscapes and rural life to present the depiction of the beauty of Taiwanese aesthetics. In his immense creativity, the diversity of ink flows such as thick and dry, shallow and dense, they have been recorded a brimful of interest and meaningful metaphors. Therefore, audience can understand the artist’s life principles through the composition between concrete and abstract of his paintings.
